ECLAT Festival Neue Musik Stuttgart
Since
its establishment in 1980, the Stuttgart
ECLAT Festival has become one of the most prestigious platforms for
New Music in Germany and certainly one of the those most open to
experimentation. ECLAT’s aim is to present innovative trends in
music today and to show their connection with the important
compositions of the 20th
and 21st
century. For this reason ECLAT is also an important forum for the
promotion and presentation of young composers. Every year there are
premieres and first performances in Germany of works by renowned
musicians from all over the world
The
ECLAT’s unique artistic range reaches
from new forms of musical theatre through unusual chamber music
projects to large-scale orchestral concerts. Through the inclusion of
film, literature and new media, ECLAT is always in touch with other
artistic fields.
