Alberto Posadas was born in 1967 in Valladolid (Spain) and lives in Madrid. There he also studied with Francisco Guerrero. He was Composer in Residence of the Wissenschaftskolleg in Berlin (2016–2017) and several times of IRCAM Paris; his compositions have been performed at the major European festivals of new music, received international prizes, guest residencies and awards. Alberto Posadas gave and gives master classes regularly, among others in Royaumont, at the Takefu International Music Festival, the Académie de composition Philippe Manoury (Musica Festival Strasbourg, the, Hochschule Luzern and the Impuls Academy in Graz.
