Cia Rinne (*1973 in Gothenburg) is a writer, poet and artist based in Berlin. She works with minimalist translingual texts that play with the double senses and paradoxes of language, often taking shape as exhibitions, sound and video works. Cia is the author of four volumes of poetry, documentary books as well as libretti for musical works by a.o. Sofia Jernberg, Henrik Strindberg, and Cecilia Damström, largely inspired by philosophy and Greek mythology. Her work is shown internationally, solo shows a.o. at INCA Seattle, die raum Berlin, and Marabouparken konsthall Stockholm. Cia’s œuvre was awarded with the Prix littéraire Bernard Heidsieck-Centre Pompidou.
