In her music, Juliana Hodkinson (*1971 in Exeter, UK) critically engages with social, cultural and political relations within and beyond art, for example by incorporating everyday objects, materials and sound content into her works and more recently by addressing the audience as active participants in the performance situation. At the heart of all her work is the dismantling of previously established ideals through attentive listening to experiences that have emerged through different perspectives, through asymmetry and irregularity.
