Marta Haladzhun is a Ukrainian composer living in Germany. She works in the fields of contemporary music, multimedia, music theater and interdisciplinary collaboration. Marta Haladzhun was born in Lviv, Ukraine. She studied composition in Kiev, at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich (MA) with Isabel Mundry, multimedia composition with Alexander Schubert and Georg Hajdu at the HfMT Hamburg.

 

She is currently completing her postgraduate studies (concert exam) at the HMDK Stuttgart with Luxa M. Schüttler. She has also taken part in several workshops with Chaya Czernowin, Clara Iannotta, Stefano Gervasoni, Francesco Filidei, Matthias Kranebitter, Sarah Nemtsov, Mauro Lanza, Matthew Shlomowitz, Jennifer Walshe, etc.

Her music has been performed by various ensembles such as Nostri Temporis, Barcelona Modern Ensemble, Kwartludium Ensemble, Riot Ensemble, Ensemble Proton Bern, Collegium Novum Zurich. She has participated in festivals such as Contrasts (UA), SoundsAroundMe (Vienna), Mixtur (SP), Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (DE), Klangspuren Schwaz (AT), Darmstädter Ferienkurse (DE), Festival Junger Künstler Bayreuth (DE), Lauschvisite (DE), Sounds of Stuttgart (DE) etc. In 2021 she was awarded at the 12th Pre-art competition for young composers (Switzerland) for the piece ‘Dust in crevices’. In 2021 she won the Protonenwerk No. 12 of the ENSEMBLE PROTON BERN (Switzerland) and she won the EHTE Composition Competition 2021 (Spain). In 2022 she took part in the Klangspuren Composer Lab with the Riot Ensemble. From 2025 she will teach composition as a minor subject at the HMDK Stuttgart.
