The title and content of the work are inspired by an object of the same name from the film ‘Midsommar’ (2019, directed by Ari Aster).

The focus is on the attempt to develop an alternative cultic code of life based on ‘trivialities’ or ‘senseless stupidity’: fragments of phrases, melodic figures, distorted elements of cultic music, pop cultural sounds, allusions to meditative practices and glossolalia. Fragments of ‘codes’ taken out of context merge into a new structure, create a different context and are ‘resemiotised’ within the musical alliance, which is based on the principle of the ready-made, i.e. placed in a new context.
