Windy, flying, fleetingthe latest orchestral music blows by and is just being captured by the composers in the echo of their movement: Turgut Ercetin reconstructs the acoustics of the old (no longer existing) Church of the Holy Apostles in Istanbul and uses them to develop his orchestral sounds, which in the performance meet an equally complex, self-dynamic string quartet. Fabià Santcovsky traces the sounds and poetry of the wind. And in the award-winning work of the current Stuttgart Composition Prize, Ashley Fure reflects banned kinetic energiesthe orchestra appears in her imagination as a gigantic albatross, bound to the bow of a ship while sailing.
