The celebration of the Composition Prize already begins in the orchestra concert and extends beyond the two-part prize-winners’ concert into Sunday afternoon to present the two prize-winners with their latest works. The physical experience of their works is important for both, which is why they create their own spaces for their compositions. Andreas Eduardo Frank confronts the audience with a futuristic ensemble body «which, as in a retro arcade game, makes its way through the jungle of sounds with a loudspeaker choreography”. Ashley Fure uses the hyper-directionality of 3D megaphones to create a captivating architectural complexity with the 12 performers and the Ensemble Modern surrounding the audience.
