Julien Jamet

Julien Jamet was born in Paris in 1979 and initially played guitar in various rock and jazz formations before he began composing new music in 2005. He studied composition with Gérard Pesson and Jean-Luc Hervé from 2007 before continuing his studies with Johannes Schöllhorn at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. Julien Jamet’s works have been performed by ensembles such as Court-Circuit, Garage, Handwerk, BRuCH, Instant Donné, MusikFabrik, and WDR Sinfonie Orchester Köln. He has shown his work at festivals such as Darmstädter Ferienkurse, Acht Brücken–Musik für Köln, Festival d’automne à Paris, Wittener Tage für Neue Kammermusik, and Nuova Consonanza. Julien Jamet lives and works as a composer and teacher in Paris.
